"HE CARES FOR YOU"

     Do you ever feel as David once did, that "no one cares for [your] soul"?
  2. Mark 4:38-39
     Jesus was once accused of not caring. He proved His care, however, in rebuking the wind, and thus providing peace to those in doubt.
  3. Matthew 9:36; 23:37
     Jesus exhibited matchless compassion for the people. Nevertheless, if one is unwilling to accept His care, Jesus' concern for him is worthless.
  4. 1 Peter 5:6-7
     We need to cast our cares upon Christ, for He does care for us.

1. He Became Poor That You May Become Rich
   1. 2 Corinthians 8:9
   2. Philippians 2:5-7
      Jesus took the lowly form of a servant while upon this earth.
   3. Matthew 6:19-20
      These things were done, that we might lay up treasures in heaven.
2. He Became Homeless That You May Have A Home
   1. Matthew 8:20
      While abiding on the earth Jesus had no home.
   2. John 14:1-3
      Now in heaven He prepares our home: mansions!
   3. 2 Corinthians 5:1-8
      This home will be eternal.
3. He Became Hungry That You May Be Fed
   1. Matthew 4:1-4
      Jesus fasted and was hungry. He taught that one must be fed by God's word.
   2. John 6:51, 57-58
      He offers living bread.
4. He Became Thirsty That You May Drink
   1. John 19:28
      Jesus thirsted, but was offered nothing to quench it.
   2. John 4:5-14
      He thirsted. He offers a better drink.
   3. Revelation 22:17
      He invited us to drink living water!
   4. Matthew 5:6
      If our appetite is healthy we will be filled!
5. He Became Weary That You May Have rest
   1. John 4:6
      Jesus experienced fatigue.
   2. Matthew 11:28-30
      He offers rest.
   3. Hebrews 4:1-11
      We must labor to enter that rest.
6. He Wept That Your Tears May Be Wiped Away
   1. John 11:35; Luke 19:41
      Christ cared enough to weep.
   2. Revelation 21:4
      He promises that our tears will be wiped away.
7. He Was Cursed That You May Be Blessed
   1. Galatians 3:13-14
      Christ accepted the curse we deserve in order to provide us blessings.
   2. Ephesians 1:3
      All those blessings are available in Him.
8. He Died That You May Live
   1. Hebrews 2:9
      He tasted death for everyone.
   2. Romans 5:8-10
      This is the proof of God's love for us.
   3. Isaiah 26:19
      The promise of life after death is guaranteed in the resurrection of Christ.
   4. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11
      It is a true source of comfort to dwell on this thought.
